Warm-Up Exercises to Release Stress

But before we start, there are three important steps before you begin. First, make yourself as comfortable as possible. Second, clear your mind. And third, concentrate on your breathing. Here are the following warm-up exercises:

■ Sit on a chair; or sit cross legged on the floor with your eyes closed.

Calm your mind.

Put your palms together and rub them up and down until they feel warm.

As you inhale through your nose, reach your right hand over your head as if you are trying to pic an apple from a tree. Place your left hand under your right breast with the palm facing up. Then, exhale through your mouth while bringing your hands back together.

So you may apply these exercises to make yourself stress free and no matter what method you use don't force it, not unless you have proper instructions for a particular exercise specify otherwise.  Your breathing should be calm, deep, slow and rhythmic-and as relaxed as your body and mind are.
